The Blood Moon Prophecy

As the first of four (4) "blood moons", which will appear across North America between 2014-2015, will occur on April 15 (2014) and herald in various celestial and purported prophetic events, this blog article will touch upon this subject from the point of view of the believer and the critic.

From Wikipedia:
"The Blood Moon Prophecy is an idea popularized by Christian pastors John Hagee and Mark Biltz that states the upcoming tetrad (a series of four consecutive total lunar eclipses, with six full moons in between, and no intervening partial lunar eclipses) which begins with the April 2014 lunar eclipse is a sign of significant things to come. Biltz believes that the Second Coming will coincide with the final eclipse of the tetrad, while Hagee only believes the eclipses are a sign of coming change in the course of history for Israel. The Blood Moon Prophecy quickly gained attention on the Internet shortly after Biltz first proposed it in 2008, and gained mainstream media attention shortly before the April 15, 2014 lunar eclipse. Hagee's book on the subject became a best seller. Despite the attention, few Christians believe the prophecy. It has been criticized by both mainstream Christian sources and secular astronomy blogs. Critiques point out that tetrads that correspond with Jewish feasts are not as rare as Hagee and Biltz imply, that the eclipses will not be visible in Israel, and that the Bible also states it is impossible to know when the Second Coming will occur."

According to this excerpt above, John Hagee is predicting incredible change for Israel, Mark Biltz is suggesting that Jesus Christ is soon to make his appearance, the Critics argue there is nothing strange about "blood moons" and the Scientists proclaim, while very few have occurred during Jewish feasts, there is nothing uncommon about consecutive "blood moons".

Pastor Hagee Theory: For many years, Hagee (pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas) has prepared for the celestial occurrence of the tetrads in 2014 and 2015. His theory is based on one of the following verses from the Christian Bible -
"And I will show wonders in Heaven above and signs in the Earth beneath, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord." (Acts 2:19-20)

While Hagee does not believe the world is about to come to an end, he does insist that major happenstances will occur and revolve around the nation of Israel. In his studies on this subject, the pastor has found connections between past tetrads and important events in the life of the Jewish people.

Pastor Mark Biltz Theory: In 2008, Biltz (pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Tacoma, Washington) made a prediction that Jesus Christ would return in the Autumn of 2015 during a series of four different "blood moons" that would begin April 15, 2014 and end in September, 2015 with the arrival of the Christian Messiah. He based his theory on "creationism" [with the making of the sun and moon], as well as the "End Times" revelations foretold by the ancient prophets.

While there are a few who would debunk his theory, Biltz stands firm in his belief that the Christian Bible has prepared mankind for the "End Times" and the horrendous events of former prophecy fulfilled will indeed usher in the return of the Messiah in 2015.

Critic's Theory: There are many clergymen, scholars and theologians who do not put much precedence upon the theory of the four blood moons coinciding with biblical prophecy. The mainstream idea on such a subject cannot be accepted as prophetical events about to take place because of the following biblical verse:
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. But, about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come." (Mark 13:31-33)
The Blood Moon Theory DEBUNKED 2014/2015

This group of critics claim the "End Times" will occur one day, but more ancient prophecies must be fulfilled before the end of the world as mankind knows it can actually happen.

Scientists' Theory: According to the Scientific community, the lunar eclipses to occur between April, 2014 and September, 2015 will be a spectacular cosmic event but nothing more than that! Like all lunar eclipses, the moon will appear to be a dark red color due to the refraction of sunlight through Earth's atmosphere, which is the effect that causes a sunset to appear a shade of red. Cosmic disturbances are not forecast during this time.

ScienceCasts: A Tetrad of Lunar Eclipses

While many centuries passed [between 1600-1900] without a tetrad occurring in our solar system, NASA has confirmed that nine (9) tetrads will occur during the 21st century with the first to appear on April 15, 2014.

As the writer of the Who's ? Right blog, I can agreed with all of the above... is that an oxymoron? Not really. I find it fascinating that many of these tetrads have occurred during Jewish feast days, as Pastor Hagee enlightened, which resulted in major change for Israel. I find Mark Biltz's theory interesting and informative [everyone is entitled to their own interpretations of the Creator's Word], yet I agree with the Critics when they stated, "no man knows the day or hour". And, as for Science, without the discoveries and findings of NASA astronomers and other related representatives, who through increased knowledge can read and interpret the signs of cosmic events, these unsubtle "End Times" predictions and celestial doomsday conspiracies would have never manifested.

The only question that remains is ... Who's ? Right
