Cosmic Signs in the 21st Century

According to various Holy Books, the Great Creator will use supernatural heavenly signs to signal the beginning of His intervention during what is commonly known as the "End Times" which will lead up to what the Christians refer to as the Battle of Armageddon.

Mankind's knowledge has increased dramatically over the last 10 years, enabling the prophecy of 'cosmic signs in the heavens' to come to fruition in our modern 21st century. Increase in knowledge is another eschatological prophecy foretold by the ancient prophet, Daniel. (12:4) Yet, knowledge had to reach such a stage of understanding in order for this particular prophecy to be fulfilled.

Today, such knowledge exists and the world's leading scientists are more commonly sharing their findings with mankind, unlike they did 40 years ago when knowledge of the universe was in its infancy stage.

The following biblical verses speak of such "cosmic signs in the heavens":

Jeremiah 10:2 - "Thus says the LORD, "Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens Although the nations are terrified by them;"

In the past decade, scientists have discovered more and more heavenly incidents that have caused some concern. From asteroids and comets to black holes, outer space has become extremely active. Asteroids and comets are considered remnants from the giant cloud of gas and dust that condensed to create the sun, planets, and moons some 4.5 billion years ago. A black hole is a region of spacetime from which gravity prevents anything, including light, from escaping.

Luke 21:25 - "There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,"

Between 2014-2015, a series of four (4) Blood Moons, known as a tetrad, occurred and coincided with various Jewish holy days. This had not happened in over 500 years! Many evangelical preachers spread the word that such an occurrence would likely bring about the beginning of the dreaded "Day of the Lord". Science proclaim these Blood Moons caused a great deal of havoc to the planet's oceans, as well as created unnatural hurricanes, earthquakes, and blizzards.

Revelation 12:1 - "A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;"

The majority of religious biblical scholars believe this particular verse is more symbolic than an actual occurrence destined to happen in the future. The woman is commonly associated with the Woman of the Apocalypse. This is yet another mystery as some believe she is the Virgin Mary, while others connect her with the first woman created (Eve). Likewise, there are scholars whom decree this is referring to the nation of Israel or even the [Christian] Church itself. Then there are biblical theologians who claim Revelation 12:1 refers to a celestial event that is to occur in September, 2017 when the constellations of Virgo and Leo, as well as the planets of Mars, Mercury and Venus, line perfectly up to create such an prophetic occurrence.

Revelation 15:1 - "Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels who had seven plagues, which are the last, because in them the wrath of God is finished."

Again, this particular verse is more symbolic than theoretical. It basically states the last great judgments of the Creator will be administered by seven angels assigned to pour out "God's wrath". While it does not state if the wrath of God will be a celestial event, this final act of the Creator will bring about the end of the Battle of Armageddon and subsequently will victoriously bring God's kingdom to Earth to rule for a thousand years.
